31 Photos in 31 Days: Day 28

Day 28: Took Kyle to his first cat cafe. I love cat cafes. This little guy slept in this basket the whole time. When you have cat cafes around everyday is Caturday. This cat cafe is close to my place in Donam.

It’s Caturday!

In Seoul there are several places called “Cat Cafes.” No they don’t serve cat. It’s a place where you buy a drink and get to hang out with cats. It’s like the dog cafe I wrote about a few months age. We found a place in Gangnam that was a great cat cafe. The peach tea was really good and everything was better priced than the dog cafe. You pay 8,000 won (about 8 bucks) for a drink and you get to chill with the cool cats. If you want to order another drink then it’s only 3,000. They have kitty treats that only cost 2,000 and all the kitty’s like those. But there is an orange cat that you can’t feed treats too. When you walk in, you have to change your shoes to these little house slippers and use hand sanitizer before entering the cafe. Like the dog cafe there are rules:

You can’t pick up or hugs the cats (gotta love a cat on their terms)
you can’t wake sleeping cats
No outside food for them
No pulling tails or being rough
OH and no flash-photography please!

The place we went to was great, I highly recommend it. It’s right outside Gangnam Station (Line 2) exit 6. As you leave exit 6 you turn left down a little alley and once you reach a small street it’s on the 4th floor of a large building in front of you. There is a 7-11 on the first floor. I also know of cat cafe’s in Myong-dong and Donam-dong.

Happy Caturday!
